SIOUX CITY CONTINUES HOT-STREAK WITH SIXTH STRAIGHT VICTORY

Sioux City, IA- The Sioux City Explorers continued their hot-streak as they grabbed their sixth straight victory with a 7-1 decision over the Sioux Falls Canaries on Sunday evening.

The Explorers rolled out to a 7-0 lead after just three innings and would cruise from there to the big win.

Sioux City’s designated hitter LeVon Washington had a big night at the plate going a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.  

Explorers second baseman Nick Flair added two hits in four at-bats, while LF Jayce Ray smashed a two-run homer and collected three RBI.

Sioux City starting pitcher Hobbs Johnson (2-0) tossed six solid innings to earn his second win of the season. Johnson gave up an earned run on six hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
