EXPLORERS ANNOUNCE LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION EVENT

Sioux City, IA - The Sioux City Explorers announced today that the game on Sunday, August 21, will be a Law Enforcement / Emergency Services Appreciation Game.  All federal, state, and local law enforcement officers, firefighters, and first responders, along with their families are invited to Mercy Field at Lewis and Clark Park for a free tailgate party and reserve seat ticket to that afternoon’s game.

“We recognize and appreciate the sacrifice that all of our area law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders make for us each and every day,” said Explorers Vice President and General Manager, Shane Tritz. “This event is a small token to show our gratitude for everything they do in keeping our community safe.”

The tailgate party will begin at Noon and all emergency services officers and their families will be provided lunch courtesy of our sponsors, Wimmer’s Meats, Sam’s Club, Tyson Foods, Pepsi Cola of Siouxland, and Jolly Time Popcorn. After the tailgate, they will receive a free reserved seat ticket to the game, courtesy of the Sioux City Explorers, as the X’s take on the Winnipeg Goldeyes, with the first pitch scheduled for 2:00pm.

Single game tickets for all remaining home games on the 2016 schedule are on sale now and may be purchased one of three ways: in person at the Mercy Field @ Lewis & Clark Park Stadium Box Office (3400 Line Drive, Sioux City, IA 51106), by telephone (712-277-9467), or on-line at www.xsbaseball.com.
