EXPLORERS WOES CONTINUE WITH LOSS TO RAILCATS

Gary, IN- The Sioux City Explorers lost their third road game in two days with a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday afternoon at U.S. Steel Yard.  

Gary SouthShore plated seven runs, on thirteen hits, and plating runs in the third, sixth, seventh and eighth innings.

Sioux City finished with five hits total, three errors and no runs. Tony Campana was the only Explorer to have double-digit hits in the contest, going 2 for 4 with two singles.

Railcats starter Chris Rosario (3-3) received the victory, pitching a five-hit complete game shutout.

Explorers left-hander Hobbs Johnson (2-1) was charged with the loss, allowing four runs in 5.2 innings pitched.
