X'S FALL TO SAINTS ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

It was all St. Paul in this one as the Saints pounded out 18 hits and rolled to a 12-1 victory over Sioux City. St. Paul had six players with multi-hit games including LF Anthony Gallas who went 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI. Saints CF Kes Carter also added a three-hit night, including a home run, with two runs scored and a pair of RBI with DH Brady Shoemaker chipping in two hits and two runs. St. Paul starting pitcher Mark Hamburger received plenty of run support tonight in picking up his league leading eighth victory of the year. Hamburger allowed an earned run on five hits in seven innings pitched.
