Sioux City-----The Explorers took two games from Sioux Falls at Lewis and Clark Park Monday, 15-0 and 8-6.  The 15-0 win came in the completion of the suspended game of May 19th with the 8-6 victory in the regular scheduled contest.  In the suspended game, the Explorers had a 5-0 lead in the third inning and finished the contest with a season high 20 hits in the win.  Yusuke Inoguchi led the X's hit attack with four hits and three RBI's while Kris Sanchez had four RBI's in the contest.  The Explorers also hit three home runs in the suspended game with Ray Serrano, Kris Sanchez and Inoguchi leaving the park with round trippers.

Alain Quijano pitched the complete nine innings to pick up his first win of the season and he scattered seven hit, striking out seven and did not walk a batter.  In the regular scheduled game, Ty Marotz started his first game of the year and came within one out of going the distance, but did pick up his first win of the season and his 25th career win as an Explorer to tie for the most wins in a career for an Explorer pitcher.  It was good defense and bad defense combined in the victory for the X's.  Sioux City turned a season high four double plays behind Marotz, but in the seventh inning with the Explorers leading 8-1, two costly errors put Sioux Falls back in the game.  After Marotz left in the seventh inning, Chris Bodishbaugh came in and finally got the final out in the 8-6 win.  The Explorers had 13 hits in the second game with Michael Lang leading the way with three hits.

The Explorers and Sioux Falls will play again Tuesday at Lewis and Clark Park with game time set for 7:05.
