St. Paul, MN-----The Explorers scored four runs in the tenth inning to defeat St. Paul 8-4 at Midway Stadium Saturday. It was the third extra inning victory for the Explorers this season in four games.

The X's took advantage of four walks in the 10th inning along with two hits to snap a 4-4 tie into a win over the Saints.  Mike Bisenius broke the tie on a sacrifice fly that drove home Brian Bistange with the go-ahead run.  Later in the tenth inning Mike Murphy singled with the bases load to drive in two more runs that resulted in a 7-4 lead.  That gave Murphy three RBI's for the game.  The final run scored in the tenth when Brandon Newton singled home Peter Barrows to make it an 8-4 lead and that would be the final score.

Murphy, Newton and Barrows all had two hits each for the Explorers.   Chris Bodishbaugh pitched the final two innings to pick up his third win of the season.  The only extra inning loss this season for the Explorers was at St. Paul in 11 innings on May 27th.  The Explorers and St. Paul will meet Sunday at 1:05 in the second game of the series.
