EXPLORERS FINAL HOME SERIES WITH EYE ON POST SEASON

EXPLORERS HOST FARGO-MOORHEAD

 

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Sioux City Explorers will host the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in the final home series of the season, playing meaningful August baseball to close out the summer. The series begins Friday night August 25 at 7:05 p.m. at Mercy One Field at Lewis and Clark Park. The Explorers sit in second place in the American Association West Division and need to finish in the top four to move on to playoff baseball in September. The weekend is packed with the perfect promotional weekend for fans.

Friday, August 25 – 7:05 p.m.

It’s Local Hero’s Night; come out and support the Sioux City Police and Fire Departments! FREE Wilfredo Gimenez T-shirts will be thrown during the game, thanks to Absolute Screen Art. Stay around after the game to get it autographed.

 

Saturday, August 26 – 6:05 p.m.

First 500 fans will receive Explorers Baseball Cards thanks to Artisan Press!

 

Sunday, August 27 – 4:05 p.m.

Fan Appreciation Day!! – Thank you, baskets, given away every inning to one lucky fan with 20% off in the team shop and five-dollar alcoholic beverages.

Military Sunday presented by Liberty National Bank— all military personnel can buy one ticket and receive one FREE with a valid ID! All Military members will receive a FREE ticket with game worn military style jerseys to be auctioned off after the game. Proceeds from the jerseys will go back to the military.

Sunday is also Bark in the Park Day, so bring your furry friends out to enjoy the game with you! Water and treats will be available for all dogs!

Sunday is also Family Fun Day—(1) Reserved seat game ticket, (1) hot dog, and (1) bottled Pepsi for ONLY $13 per family member! After the game, kids can enjoy running the bases like their favorite Explorer!

Following the series against Fargo-Moorhead, the Explorers will be off Monday, August 28 before hitting the road for their final road trip of the season that begins Tuesday night August 29 in Kansas City.
