SIOUX CITY LANDS THREE ON THE LEAGUE POST SEASON AWARD LIST
SIOUX CITY, Iowa—The American Association of Professional Baseball announced today that the league has named Sioux City outfielder Henry George and closer Felix Cepeda to the league’s Postseason All-Star Team.
Henry George finished the season hitting .291 with nine home runs and 43 RBI. The native of Woodbury, Minnesota ended the regular season with 100 hits and was tied for 10th in doubles and was fourth in walks with 62. George was also a speedster on the base paths for Sioux City. He finished with 43 stolen bases, good for fourth in the league, and he joined teammates Austin Davis (60), D’Shawn Knowles (53) and Zac Vooletich (41) with 40 or more stolen bases. George would slash a line of .291/.402/.439 and finished seventh in the league in on-base percentage. The outfielder was selected as a starter for the West Division team in the league’s all-star game in July.
George comes to Sioux City after spending two seasons with the Northern Colorado Owls in the Pioneer League. He spent four years at the University of Minnesota-Duluth before spending one season at South Dakota State as a graduate transfer in 2022.

Felix Cepeda tied the Explorers single season save mark of 24 in 2025. He would lead the league in saves while posting a 1.42 ERA and a 6-3 record in 44 games. Cepeda struck out 63 batters and was involved in 30 of the 64 Explorers wins with either a win or a save. Sioux City went 35-8 when Cepeda took the mound in 2025. The right-hander converted 22 consecutive save opportunities during the regular season and was part of the Sioux City contingent that represented the club at the 2025 American Association All-Star Game.
Cepeda comes to the American Association after spending six seasons with the Boston Red Sox organization. He hails from Bonao in the Dominican Republic and was an international free agent signee by Boston in July of 2017.
