RAIN UNWANTED GUEST ON THE 4TH

EXPLORERS AND GOLDEYES RAINED OUT

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Sioux City Explorers and Winnipeg Goldeyes were set to throw a big 4th of July party Tuesday night at Lewis and Clark Park, but an uninvited guest of torrential rains postponed the party.

The teams will now play two seven-inning games as part of a doubleheader Wednesday night, July 5, with the first pitch at 5:05 p.m. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m.

The originally scheduled fireworks show from Tuesday night will be moved to Friday night, July 7, following the Explorers game against the Cleburne Railroaders.

Tickets for tonight’s game may be redeemed for a future game on the Explorers regular season schedule. Stop by the Explorers box office or call (712) 277-9467 to do so.

Following the series with Winnipeg, the Explorers continue their homestand with a four-game series with the Cleburne Railroaders, July 6-9.

Tickets for the season can be purchased online at xsbaseball.com, in person at the Lewis and Clark Park Box Office or by calling 712-277-WINS. You can catch all the X’s action on aabaseball.tv and on radio at KSCJ 94.9 FM and 1360 AM.
