SIOUX CITY ERUPTS FOR SEASON‑HIGH 17 IN 17–7 WIN
ROAD TRIP SITS AT 4-1

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA – Sioux City (38–41) piled up a season‑high 17 runs and 21 hits in a 17–7 rout of Winnipeg (43–35) on Saturday night.
The Explorers scored in six different innings and produced a seven‑run avalanche in the third
Manager Steve Montgomery praised the complete offensive effort, “What the offense did tonight was very special. Up and down the lineup got the job done tonight.”
In the first, Henry George reached on a fielder’s choice to bring home Austin Davis, and Osuna followed with a two‑run double to center for a 3–0 lead. It marked the third straight game Sioux City scored in the opening inning.
The Goldeyes tied the game 3–3 in the second on RBI hits from Kevin García and Ray‑Patrick Didder, then took a 5–3 lead on a two‑run homer from Ramon Bramasco.
Sioux City responded with one its biggest inning of the season.
The Explorers erupted for seven runs on six hits in the third. George doubled home Zac Vooletich, Osuna crushed a two‑run homer to reclaim the lead, Davis singled home two more, and Vooletich capped the inning with a two‑run double to make it 10–5. Both starters were gone before the bottom of the third.
Osuna struck again in the fourth, blasting his second home run of the night and his fifth RBI, becoming the first Explorer with 5+ RBIs in a game since Abdiel Layer on August 26th, 2025. He finished 5-for-6 with 2 HR, 4 runs, and 5 RBIs.
The onslaught continued. In the sixth, D’Shawn Knowles doubled home two to push the lead to 13–5. Winnipeg’s Didder added a solo homer in the bottom half, but Sioux City answered with two more in the eighth on Wilfredo Gimenez’s RBI single.
Braulio Vásquez added a two‑run homer in the ninth to make it 17–6 before Winnipeg scratched across one final run.
Sioux City closes the weekend series in Winnipeg on Sunday at 1:00 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 12:30 p.m. on KSCJ 94.9 FM and 1360 AM. -The X’s set aa new season high in hits with 21 and tied a season high in runs for the third time this season. Sioux City also scored seven runs in the third matching another season high.
-Alberto Osuna had his second two homer game of the season. He did it on May 27 in a loss against Milwaukee.
-The Explorers blasted three home runs for the first time since July 21 in a win at Lincoln.
