SIOUX CITY SLOWED EARLY ON SUNDAY 10-3 AT LAKE COUNTRY
TATUM GOES YARD IN LOSS

OCONOMOWOC, WI – Sioux City (48–51) dropped a 10–3 decision to Lake Country (56–43) on Sunday afternoon
Lake Country struck first in the second inning when Mario Feliciano launched a two‑run homer to left for a 2–0 lead.
In the third, the DockHounds threatened again. Peter Zimmermann singled to right, but Anthony Garcia was thrown out at the plate on a sharp Sioux City relay to keep the deficit at two.
Ray Zuberer III singled to right to score Feliciano and Brett Roberts, making it 4–0. Moments later, Nathan Mertens walked in a run with the bases loaded, extending the lead to 5–0 after the fourth.
Sioux City got on the board in the fifth when Austin Davis singled to center to score Dillon Tatum, cutting the deficit to 5–1. But a balk in the bottom half pushed the DockHounds’ lead to 6–1.
The Explorers continued to chip away in the sixth after Alberto Osuna singled home D’Shawn Knowles to make it 6–2, and in the seventh Tatum homered to left, trimming the margin to 6–3.
Lake Country delivered the knockout in the eighth.
Joshua Mears crushed a three‑run homer over the batter’s eye in center to push the lead to 9–3 and bring his RBI total to 111. The DockHounds added one more to close out the scoring.
Sioux City plays its 2026 regular‑season finale Monday against Lake Country at 1:05 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 12:35 p.m. on KSCJ 94.9 FM and 1360 AM.
