The Explorers are announcing the signing of OF Jake Sanford for the 2023 season. Sanford, a native of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is a former third round pick by the New York Yankees after posting a full season of batting nearly .400 in the spring of 2019 at Western Kentucky University. Most recently, Sanford hit for a .311 batting average along with 22 home runs and 72 RBIs last summer with the Frontier League’s Ottawa Titans, and is looking to build off of that this summer.
