Following a 13-game stint with the X’s in the 2022 season, the Sioux City Explorers announce that infielder Miguel Sierra will be returning to the X’s for the 2023 campaign. During his 2022 stint with the X’s, the Guarico, Venezuela native slashed .317/.415/.512 along with two homers and seven RBIs. The Sioux City Explorers begin their 31st season at Lewis and Clark Park on Friday, May 12th against the Kansas City Monarchs.
Before his time with the X’s, Sierra spent six years in affiliated baseball, including 112 games in AAA as a member of the the Sugar Land Skeeters, where he hit 10 home runs and 31 RBIs during their 2021 season.
